Australia-based retailer, Up There, will be teaming up with ASICS to release a brand new collaborative Gel-Lyte III colorway. These two brands partnered together earlier last year, bringing us a GT-II inspired by Japanese Chrysanthemum and Pink Health design influences. This most recent colorway dubbed "Kookaburra" will take inspiration from the Australian-native bird, the Kookaburra. Known for its distinct human-like laugh, the Kookaburra is a popular symbol in Australia.
The Up There x ASICS Gel-Lyte III "Kookaburra" will feature a cream-white mesh base layer, with suede overlays in brown, mimicking the look of the bird. Turquoise accents will be found on the tiger stripe, complementing the rest of the upper. The white/cream midsole will feature ASICS branding, with a black/turquoise rubber outsole to finish the look.
