It's that time of year when droves of tourists flock to the tiny town of Augusta, GA for the most prestigious tournament in Golf. The Masters is set to kick off on April 6 and Asics just rolled out a new theme shoe to celebrate the spring time staple.
The Asics Gel Lyte III is draped in Shamrock Green that pays tribute to the lush fairways of Augusta National but also to the jackets given to each year's winner. The shaggy suede on the upper even gives the feel of fresh cut grass. Bright yellow highlights on the forefoot, eyestays, and sockliner mimic that of the flagsticks found on all 18 holes of the legendary course. On the undercarriage we see a white midsole and a “sand trap” colored outsole. The shoes also feature the rear-foot Gel technology to keep you comfy as you walk all 18 holes of The Masters.
The Asics Gel Lyte III Masters/OG Shamrock will be here just in time for the tournament's first tee-off on April 6 and will run $140 per pair.
