Adidas has officially re-entered the conversation of hype sneakers. It’s no secret that they’ve struggled to stay relevant since parting ways with Ye and the Yeezy line last year but they’ve recently struck an accord to sell off the remaining $1.3 billion in already produced stock. Adidas has released a steady stream of Bad Bunny collaborations and various Samba projects but everything has paled in comparison to the revenue Yeezy’s brought in.
Since news broke last week of the agreement to sell off existing product sneaker heads worldwide have been casting predictions of how and when it will happen. It looks like Adidas will be revisiting their standard release methods as Utility Black 500s and Zebra 350s loaded up on the company’s UK platforms. The Zebra 350 was one of the last models to release in the US and the Utility Black 500 release was scrapped once the partnership dissolved, though a few retailers managed to release pairs they had already received.
So what does this mean? At this time no one knows. Will the shoes be available on the Confirmed App? Will the Yeezy Supply website rise from the dead? Will Adidas host one last Yeezy Day event and sell off everything in one fell swoop? It all remains to be seen but once plans are announced you can be sure to find all the info right here.
