Call it coincidence if you want, but on the day SoleFly owner Chris Prieto dropped images of his upcoming Air Jordan 8 “Diamond Turf,” news of Deion Sanders resigning with Nike broke. “Diamond Turf” was Deon's signature line in the ’90s, and SoleFly was tapped to announce his return.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 8 “Diamond Turf” uses the Playoff 8s as its base and has at least two different models. Both variants use the Playoff 8 base with black nubuck on the uppers and abstract red, white, and black detail panels on the heel. The first offering shows the signature crisscross being held down with gold-colored buckles, while the second uses the gold screen style mesh in the medial panel just like the old “Diamond Turfs.”
That’s all the details we have now, but there will definitely be more to come about this release. Twitter and Instagram will be the best place to find all the updates on SoleFly and the return of the “Diamond Turfs.”
