The Nike Air Mac Attack made famous by John MacEnroe back in the ’80s, is one of the greatest comeback stories in sneaker history. Nike recently dropped the OG colorway worldwide, Travis Scott showed up to a concert wearing a pair with his signature reversed swoosh, and now Social Status is releasing an entire four-pack of colorways. The first up of those releases is the “Silver Linings.”
With tear-away layers being the feature of the moment, it's no surprise that they stashed a hidden layer in the Social Status x Nike Air Mac Attack “Silver Linings.” What looks like a monochromatic approach with white suede and soft-grey uppers has more than meets the eye. The silver highlights on the ankle and swoosh can be cut-off to reveal a pink suede beneath the surface. Like all Social Status collabs, the shoes come in a specially crafted box with multiple pairs of alternate laces.
Currently, the Social Status x Nike Air Mac Attack is available exclusively at Social Status, but we could see a Nike SNKRS release somewhere down the line. The kicks retail for $140 and drop on July 14, but the Social Status raffle is open now. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram to be notified when the other three Social Status Mac Attacks colorways release.
