Update (6/29/23): New images of a white and silver pair along with the packaging have been shared courtesy of @hidden.ny
First designed in 1984 for tennis racquet slinging bad boy John McEnroe, the Nike Mac Attack is set to return in 2023. Nike rolled out the red carpet for the reprisal by letting The Whitaker Group brand Social Status take lead on design. It seems like everything The Whitaker Group touches turns to gold these days and being that NBA Sneaker Champ PJ Tucker already sourced his pairs, there's no doubt this collab will succeed.
Known for his ability to track down early and hard to find pairs, Tucker posted images of three different colorways of the upcoming Social Status drop. All three pairs look to be constructed with a mixture of canvas and leather and have tear away features throughout the shoes. The first pair has royal blue highlights with an icy blue outsole. The second uses black detailing around the heel and outsole with a white swoosh that gives way to a black one. The third pair in the collection uses bright green and has orange effects below the surface and tan gum sole.
We’re still in the dark on release details, but if you have this collection on your radar you may want to drop PJ Tucker a follow. The pair will likely release through Social Status, Nike, and other select retailers sometime in 2023.
