Update (3/29/23): The Nike Dunk Low Setsubun is finally launching April 11th at 10AM ET via Nike SNKRS.
In Japan the first day of Spring is known as the Setsubun, every year the people of Japan celebrate with a festival that is meant to rid you of all the bad fortune from the previous year. Nike looks to celebrate this season as well by releasing a special edition Nike Dunk Low.
The pair has intricate details including a purple embroidery on the lateral heel of Tsuno Daishi, a figure that is believed to protect against sickness and evil. His horns have been substituted by purple Nike Swooshes that match the Nike Swoosh on the side panel of the pair and the shoes lining. Shades of brown and tan are used on the overlays, toebox, and side panels, the shoe is finished off with a white rubber midsole, and a brown outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Setsubun has not yet received an official release date, but due to the nature of the shoes inspiration, we can expect the pair to arrive in the Spring of 2023. For more on the Nike Dunk and to stay up to with the latest drops, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
