In anticipation of the 2024 Olympic Basketball event in Paris, France, Nike Basketball has a treat for sneakerheads and Kobe fans with the return of the iconic Nike Kobe 4 “Gold Medal," now in Protro form, per ZSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files.
The Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Gold Medal” retains the essence of the 2009 classic, featuring a color scheme of White, Dark Obsidian, Varsity Red, and Metallic Gold, perfectly reminiscent of its predecessor. Standout features include Metallic Gold accents around the toe and heel, bearing a snakeskin texture that adds a touch of luxury. Dark Obsidian takes its place on the Swoosh logos, liner, and mesh tongues, while more Gold graces the Kobe shield logo. A tribute to Kobe Bryant's role as Team Captain of the "Redeem Team," his Olympic number "10" is proudly stamped onto the heels, alongside his signature on the lateral side. White panels with Obsidian FlyWire provide a balanced and stylish contrast. The insoles sport depictions of Olympic medals along with the memorable date "08.24.08." The design concludes with crisp White midsoles and a rubber outsole featuring a mix of the aforementioned shades
