Update (4/19/2023): A release date for the Nike Ja 1 Ember Glow has now been confirmed for July 3. New images have also been made available courtesy of @yankeekicks
When the Memphis Grizzlies take the court against LeBron James and the Lakers in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs superstar Ja Morant may have some shiny new kicks to show off. The Nike Ja 1 launched over NBA All-Star weekend in February and received a pretty solid response. Since then, Ja has been seen in multiple new colorways such as the Trivia Nights, but the sneaker world is really waiting on the Midnight edition that comes studded out with Swarovski crystals. Even though Ja has had some negative press of late, his kicks and play on the court continue to impress.
The newest color way to see daylight is a red, white, and blue treatment that is surprisingly clean given the loud colors. The leather and mesh uppers are fitted in a bright infrared with a laser blue wraparound swoosh. The midsole brings a bright white element that's capped off with a black outsole. Even though the NBA playoffs will long be over, these kicks could be part of the perfect July 4th fit.
We don’t yet know when these red, white, and blue Nike Ja 1’s will release or if they even will release as they could just be a PE. If Nike does decide to drop the Ja 1’s it will likely be for the price of $110 and take place on the SNKRS App. As always, stay tuned in right here and follow us on Instagram and Twitter for any and all updates.
