When your school is selected as one of the inaugural Kobe Bryant Mamba Programs, you can expect certain perks to come with it. Aside from the envy of college basketball programs nationwide, you can expect one of those perks to be some major PE heat. That's the case for the University of Connecticut (UCONN), as they joined the University of Kentucky as one of the first to receive their PEs.
The UCONN Kobe 8 Protro PE was just teased by the team's official IG account, and they are a sight to behold. The Huskies' signature navy blue dominates the upper with contrasts of white on the swoosh and heel. A bright red Kobe logo is embedded on the heel to round out the school's uniform colors. A blue and black midsole with a white outsole gives the undercarriage just the right amount of color to match the Husky logo on the tongue.
The UCONN Kobe 8 Protro PE is a team-only exclusive that will never see an actual release. You may be able to find a pair or two on the secondary markets someday but don't expect to see these load up on your SNKRS App any time soon.
