Two Men Busted For $5 Million Dollar Crime Ring In Chicago

Two men have been arrested and charged with a multi-state theft ring in Lyons, IL. The perpetrators, Edwin Aguirre-Ramirez and Erik Lujano-Bautista have allegedly stolen a whopping $5 million dollars worth of merchandise. Within the stolen goods included more than $3 million worth of Nike shoes alone.

This investigation began last month, when there was a break-in of a semi-trailer in a storage yard. The suspects had a warehouse in Chicago’s West Side where their operations were held. All stolen good were held here, repackaged, and then resold to wholesalers. Reported by Lyons Police, there may be connections to ties with Tennessee and Arkansas, making this a nationwide operation.
