According to information obtained by Complex, Adidas has canceled all Yeezy drops scheduled between now and the end of the year. Adidas had been planning another round of drops to start in the coming weeks but now states, “We will not be shipping out any new stock. This decision was given at the board level,” according to internal documents sourced by Complex.
This moratorium comes as the newest change in strategy in a long-running saga that started with Adidas cutting ties with Ye only to engage in a new deal with him shortly after that. Adidas initially severed ties with Ye primarily due to some incendiary remarks made by the rapper/designer and speculation is that the decision to table upcoming releases factored that history in with the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
