Back in the 1996-97 NBA season, Nike introduced the iconic Air Penny 2 as Penny Hardaway's second signature shoe. While the model has witnessed a handful of collaborations, the Swoosh is now gearing up to release a new wave of general release colorways including the Air Penny 2 Panda.
The Nike Air Penny 2 Panda showcases a harmonious blend of premium materials. A mixture of leather, nubuck, and mesh forms the foundation of the shoe, with subtle airbrushing accents adding an extra touch of artistic flair. The pair utilizes black and white tones throughout to fit the panda theme it was named after. The dual pull tabs ensure easy on-and-off access, while the signature Penny branding is featured on the tongues, heels, and underfoot. Nike Basketball motifs adorn the insoles, while a crisp white midsole and black rubber outsole complete the look.
The Nike Air Penny 2 Panda has yet to receive an official release date from Nike but is expected to release in the coming months. The pair will be made available on Nike.com and at select Nike retailers for $210.
