Every year Nike celebrates Air Max day with the release of various different Air Max models, this time Nike is throwing us a curve ball by releasing the The Nike Air Max Slide OG Red. The Air Max model was originally created by the legendary Tinker Hatfield and has since been re-vamped in a variety of ways.
These slides follow the same color blocking as the original Air Max 1 OG Red. Red sits on the foam, Nike branding and side panel, while the upper features sail, white, and grey suede. The Nike Swoosh is chopped in half, to give the image of a reconstructed sneaker turned slide. The midsole is made of a white foam and features the Air Max 1 Air Bubble along with a white, black, and red outsole.
The Air Max 1 Slide OG Red has no official release date but is rumored to drop on or around Air Max Day 2023. No word on retail, but you can expect to find the slides on Nike.com and select Nike retailers upon release.
