Swatch has been making a name for itself by creating affordable and meaningful pieces. They often collab with artists and designers to create limited edition watches, this time they’re requesting a helping hand from another well known watch maker OMEGA.
The Mission To Moonshine Gold is named after the chronograph seconds hand which is the only gold displayed on the face of the watch. The gold was created using recycled gold in the Swatch Group certified refinery. According to Swatch, each golden seconds hand was produced under a full moon in the month of February and comes with a special certificate stating that fact upon purchase.
Black straps with the OMEGA logo and Speedmaster branding hold the watch together, while a silver dial and back act as the base. A black face completes the design making it the perfect dial to add to your collection. The Quartz chronograph movement shows hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph. The watch comes in 42mm and a 13.5mm thickness made of BioCermaic, giving the watch water resistance for up to 30m.
The Mission To Moonshine Gold was released March 7th, 2023 in: London, Milan, Tokyo, and Zurich for around $300. Only way to grab this as of today would be through the secondary market.
