The Pokemon Trading Card Game is celebrating 30 years, and The Pokemon Company is marking the milestone with the "30th Celebration" expansion. The set is built around a special all-holofoil booster format, with every pack delivering five foil cards, including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustration rares plus a foil Basic Energy card. Rather than a single flagship product, the release spans a deep lineup that rolls out in waves from September into the holidays, giving collectors a range of entry points from budget blisters to premium collector sets.
The launch wave on September 16th, 2026 is the broadest. The Elite Trainer Box anchors the lineup with nine booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo, 65 sleeves, foil energy, dice, and a storage box, while a Pokemon Center exclusive version steps up to 11 packs and a second Nidorina promo. Alongside it are the Pokemon ex Box in Sylveon ex and Greninja ex variants, the Poster Collection with its Kanto legendary promos, the Tech Sticker Collection, and the more affordable Knock Out Collection and 2-Pack Blister, each pairing a foil Eevee promo with two packs. Prices across the wave run from $9.99 for the entry blisters up to roughly $49.99 for the Elite Trainer Box.
The lineup continues through the fall. October 2nd, 2026 brings the Binder Collection, the six-pack Booster Bundle, and ten collectible Mini Tins whose art cards combine into two day-and-night panoramas. The October 30th Battle Decks follow with all-foil 60-card builds led by Espeon ex or Umbreon ex. The most premium pieces arrive November 6th, 2026: the Ditto Premium Collection with its acrylic display, the Figure Collection featuring a sculpted Mew or Mewtwo, and the flagship Ultra-Premium Collection, which packs 29 booster packs, a Classic Collection booster, and a full accessories suite for roughly $179.99. A "30th Celebration" ex Tin closes the rollout in early December.
