Papergirl Paris x BEAMS x ASICS GT-2160 Drops January 2024
It’s not every day that your local sandwich shop becomes a player in the streetwear scene, but leave it to the city of Paris to produce such a hybrid. Paperboy Paris is known for its sans-high and brunch fare, equally appealing to the eye and palate. They’ve also produced their own highly sought-after apparel and delivered sneaker collaborations with New Balance and Reebok. Now, the local eatery is set to roll out its next project under the umbrella of its sister store, Papergirl Paris. Papergirl Paris and BEAMS have already worked on many projects, but now they are moving on to one of the hottest shoes of the moment, the ASICS GT-2160.
The Papergirl Paris x BEAMS x ASICS GT-02160 features a white mesh base layer with chrome-coated leather overlays. The overlays are highlighted with white polka dots from front to back, and the midsoles have translucent accents embedded. Papergirl and BEAMS branding adorns the heels, while all three names can be found on the insoles.
The Papergirl Paris x BEAMS x ASICS GT-2160 had a small release via BEAMS on January 13th but is ramping up for a wider release. On January 19th, Paperboys online and in-store platforms will release the shoes, and hopefully, ASICS will, too, somewhere down the line.
