In this current 2023-24 NBA season, Kevin Durant will be in his 15th season. Durant originally teamed up with Nike in 2008 with his original debut of the Nike Zoom KD 1. The iconic Aunt Pearl colorway was first introduced in 2012, paying homage to Durant's Aunt, who passed away due to lung cancer in 2000. This colorway has been a staple in the Nike KD shoe lineup and is now appearing in Durant's newest shoe, the Nike KD 17.
The Nike KD 17 “Aunt Pearl” features the classic Aunt Pearl colorway of a fully Pink color palette including Pink Foam and Beyond Pink hues. The upper base layer features a light Pink hue, with the Nike Swoosh standing out in a Purple hue. The same Pink hue continues to the foam sole, keeping the look simple and minimal.
