The Syracuse colorway has always been a Nike staple. It's one of the most sought-after of the OG Dunk College Colors pack from 1985. The pair restocked alongside its Kentucky counterpart last year to a very limited number of SNKRS accounts via Exclusive Access and at a handful of other retailers. Fast forward to 2023 and we have another edition of the Syracuse colorway, with a subtle, but premium facelift.
Official Images of the Nike Dunk Low Cracked Orange have been loaded up by the Swoosh and reveal a familiar colorway but cloaked in different materials. The bright orange leather used on the upper in the past has been swapped for premium cracked leather giving the shoes a vintage feel. The cracked orange leather is used across the overlays while the base panels are constructed in a tumbled leather with a slightly cream presentation. The shoes play up the theme with broken glass style imagery on the tongue tag and insole with a semi-translucent outsole.
It seems like Nike is giving a rebirth to the collegiate colorways with the Cracked Orange and the UNLV Satin Dunks both on the horizon. The UNLV’s are slated for a May 25 release but the date for the Nike Dunk Low Cracked Orange is still unknown. Expect to see the Syracuse 2.0 come available on the SNKRS App and at other select retailers nationwide when the time comes. Until then, stay in tune with us on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest info on sneakers, streetwear, and collectibles.
