The Nike Air Max Plus Drift is a modern evolution of the iconic Air Max Plus, which was originally designed by Sean McDowell and released in 1998. The Air Max Plus Drift retains the essence of the original while introducing several updates. It features a tweaked TPU paneling with thicker edges, a new placement for the Nike Swoosh, and reworked branding details on the tongue and heel. The Drift also maintains the original Tuned Air outsole but modernizes the upper with a dimensional and lava-lamp inspired cage. The latest colorway to arrive to the lineup will be "Ashen Slate," which is expected to hit shelves this Fall season.
The Nike Air Max Plus Drift “Ashen Slate” features a colorful color palette including Ashen Slate, Vivid Purple, Obsidian, Hyper Pink, and Hyper Royal hues. The upper arrives in a Grey/Blue hue, with the inner "lava lamp cage" mesh layer found in a vibrant Pink and Blue gradient. The mesh inner lining, tongue, and laces will be found in Obsidian, with Nike branding found in Pink. Finishing off the look, we'll see the midsole dressed in a matching Ashen Slate hue, with exposed Air Units sitting atop an Obsidian rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Plus Drift “Ashen Slate” is expected to release Fall 2024 via the Nike.com and other select Nike retailers for a retail of $185. To stay informed on all things Nike Brand and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
