Originally released in 1999, the Nike Air Max Sunder was designed primarily for cross-training, the sneaker was versatile enough to be worn as streetwear. The Air Sunder Max was notable for its futuristic design, featuring a Lycra spandex upper and a "heel lock fit system." It also included medial and lateral TRP pods, along with visible Air-Sole units in the heel and forefoot, which were hallmarks of Nike's Air technology at the time. Nike will be bringing back this iconic sneaker this Fall 2024 in celebration of the Air legacy.
Nike will be bringing back three colorways: "University Gold," "Highlighter Green," and "Black." The spandex upper will be found with a Black base layer, and accented overlays with the respective colorways. Instead of shoelaces, we'll see a simple zipper in Black, with a mini Nike Swoosh found on the lateral ankle sides. This simple design will be perfect for the Fall season, stay tuned for more updates to come.
The Nike Air Max Sunder is set to return Fall 2024 via Nike.com and other select Nike retailers. To stay informed on all things Nike Brand and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
