The Nike Air Max 1 has had its moment of fame this year. With releases such as the return of the Nike Air Max 1 Big Bubble, the Swoosh brand has shown little signs of slowing down. The latest Air Max 1 release has arrived with a unique twist.
Taking inspiration from sought-after Japanese vinyl toys, this unique offering presents intricate details extending from the see-through sole to the shoe container. Initially, its upper combines a base of white leather with synthetic overlays boasting a translucent finish, showcasing a fusion of white and mustard brown tones. Illuminating the sides are gleaming chrome Swooshes, while the leather mudguard receives a vibrant coating of electric red, perfectly matching the lining. The heel branding is adorned with a deep maroon hue, while the tongue embellishment alternates between red and gold accents. Supporting the sneaker, a translucent outsole rests beneath an off-white midsole, showcasing the words "Nike Air Max 1" in Japanese script on the bottom of the left shoe. Elsewhere, a retro-inspired graphic graces the sockliner, featuring "Nike" in Japanese on the left sneaker and the iconic Air Max branding on the right. Completing this meticulously crafted pair, a specially designed shoe container showcases the graphic alongside additional Japanese text and a viewing window, reminiscent of the packaging used for diverse collectibles.
