It’s no secret that the VaporMax is one of Nike's most classic silhouettes. The shoe has long been hailed for having a balance of comfort and eye-catching aesthetics. The VaporMax was forever immortalized in sneaker history when Virgil Abloh put his twist on it and included it in “The Ten” collection in 2017. Since then they seem to be everywhere. Colorways and sub-models galore are adored by everyone but now Nike has a new twist on the classic.
The Nike VaporMax Roam is unlike any other VaporMax we’ve seen to date. It comes clad in a moc-style presentation similar to the Nike ACG Moc and other offerings we've seen from the Swoosh. The VaporMax Roam features the same base construction of the classic VaporMax but has a woven, nylon-like material wrapped around the entire upper meant to keep the shoes safe from the elements. The seamless and stitchless shrouding ensures that nothing will seep through the base layers. The only offering we’ve seen so far of the Nike Air VaporMax Roam is an all black presentation with varying shades of black in both matted and gloss finishes.
The Nike VaporMax Roam is tentatively slated for a release during the 2023 holiday season. When the release does come expect to see them for sale on the SNKRS App and at other select retailers nationwide.
