Nike is no stranger to remixes and mash-ups when it comes to their sneakers. After all, the “What The” series of Jordans and Dunks is based on this exact concept. The OG “What The” Dunks have been hailed as some of the most creative sneakers to ever have been created and some of the most expensive on the secondary market. It may come as a surprise to some but Nike has also given this mash-up treatment to the Air Max 95 but done so under the Greedy moniker.
In 2015, the Swoosh celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the Air Max 95. It was then that the first Greedy release combined traits of four of the most successful colorways. There were a few more Greedy releases along the way before arriving at this newest upcoming iteration.
The 2023 Air Max 95 Greedy takes its base design from the iconic Neon colorway by using that model's signature gradient only in an inverted fashion. From there, the Air Max 95 Greedy uses the outer eye stays from the Dark Beetroot and the inner eye stays from the Slate Blue’s, both of which stand tall in the AM95 Hall Of Fame.
As of now, we only know that the pair is set to drop sometime in 2023. When it does you can expect to see it on the SNKRS App and at other select retailers nationwide.
