The New Balance 740 "Green/Orange" Releases Fall 2026

New Balance is pushing the 740 into bolder territory for Fall 2026 with a "Green/Orange" colorway that leans hard on neon mesh and metallic contrast. The silhouette keeps its early-2000s running DNA intact, but this build trades subtlety for a palette that commands attention from every angle.

Bright green mesh forms the base of the upper, with black and charcoal synthetic panels layered across the toe box, sides, and heel to add structure and visual weight. Metallic orange-gold lands on the oversized "N" logos and repeats along the side panels and rear branding, giving the shoe its loudest contrast point. Lavender trim around the eyestays and forefoot works in as a quieter accent, while black laces and a dark toe bumper anchor the upper without competing with the brighter elements. Reflective details are integrated throughout, and New Balance branding appears across the tongues, heels, insoles, and outsole.

The same neon green from the upper carries down onto the chunky ABZORB midsole, interrupted by black support pieces near the arch and forefoot. The outsole mixes black traction rubber with green sections and small blue inserts at the heel, keeping the color story consistent all the way to the ground.
