The Aminé x New Balance 992 "Outdoor School" Releases October 2026

Oregon rapper Aminé is making his MADE in USA debut with New Balance on the 992, and the story behind the collaboration runs deep. The colorway is called "Outdoor School," a nod to the MESD Outdoor School program Aminé attended in sixth grade at Milk Creek in Oregon, where students spent time learning about soil, water, plants, and wildlife in the outdoors. A defining ritual of the program was the "wood cookie," a wooden name tag each student received upon arrival and decorated with charms and trinkets. Aminé held onto his for years, and rediscovering it hanging in his childhood bedroom became the spark for this entire project.

The 992 upper is built in shades of reddish brown, combining mesh, suede, and patent leather across the construction. Branding lands on the heels, while Club Banana logos appear on the tongues and Outdoor School-themed graphics cover the insoles. The packaging carries the concept further, with the shoe box designed to replicate a fishing tackle box, extending the camp aesthetic well beyond the footwear itself. Each pair also comes with a wood cookie hangtag branded with "Horizon Cabin" and a set of charms shaped like a frog, compass, whistle, slug, and fish, all pulled directly from Aminé's childhood memories of the trip.
