The New Balance 2000 "Black Cement" Arrives Fall 2026

New Balance is putting a darker spin on the 2000 with the "Black Cement" colorway, a build that keeps the model's technical layering intact while shifting the overall mood considerably. Black open-knit mesh covers most of the upper, with metallic gray panels wrapping the toe box, eyestays, sides, and heel. The mix of matte and glossy finishes across those surfaces adds visual depth without introducing any new colors into the palette.

Podium Red appears in measured doses throughout the design. Thin lines trace portions of the curved paneling, then reappear on the tongue and around the heel collar. Reflective silver trim outlines the oversized "N" logos on each side, helping define the boundary between the upper's overlapping sections. The sole unit carries the most red on the shoe, with exposed ABZORB cushioning pods running heel to toe inside a sculpted black midsole and matching rubber sections along the outsole. Black laces, vertical "2000" tongue branding, heel logos, and co-branded New Balance and ABZORB insoles complete the build.
