Leave it to MSCHF to think up a way to put their spin on one of the most legendary sneakers of all time. If the new MSCHF Gobstomper Graylag Goose looks and sounds familiar that's because it is. The name and color palate is a direct rip from the Nike Staple Pigeon Dunks of the early 2000s.
The Graylag Goose marks the second colorway in the Gobstomper lineup with the first being a simple black version. On the surface, the shoe looks like a simple suede upper with some varying shades of grey. The subtle highlights and stripes of orange and red play into the colors of the namesake's beak and feet. However, when you start to scuff them up (or take a Dremel tool to them) you see the true essence of the shoe. Much like the Everlasting Gobstopper candy the more you wear away the top coat the more colors you see underneath. When you peel back the layers of the Graylag Goose you start to see reds, oranges, and yellows. The deeper you dig, the darker the color that will be revealed.
