Lionel Messi's adidas Handball Spezial catalog has largely leaned on brighter, more expressive colorways, but this upcoming iteration takes a different route. The "Black/Silver Metallic-Pure Ruby" keeps the classic terrace silhouette intact while pulling the palette into darker, more subdued territory, letting the construction and material contrast do most of the talking.

Black suede covers the bulk of the upper, running from the toe cap through the side panels and onto the tongue. The serrated Three Stripes are rendered in Metallic Silver leather, with a thin layer of red showing along their edges to add some depth without dominating the design. Messi branding appears alongside the stripes and carries through to the tongue label and heel. Smooth black leather wraps the collar and heel tab, creating a subtle contrast against the surrounding suede, while red piping along the rear panel echoes the trim under the stripes. A black midsole and matching rubber outsole complete the exterior, and patterned insoles printed with adidas and Messi branding finish the interior.
