The adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 is returning for another limited restock after a strong showing at the Chicago Marathon. Amos Kipruto won the men's race and Hawi Feysa topped the women's field, with three of the six podium finishers wearing the same shoe. That follows an equally impressive stretch earlier in the year, when Sabastian Sawe ran a 1:59:30 at the London Marathon to become the first runner to complete an official marathon in under two hours, with Yomif Kejelcha finishing just 11 seconds behind. Both were in the Adios Pro Evo 3.

The shoe earns those results through a genuinely stripped-down build. Lightstrike Pro Evo foam handles cushioning duties and weighs roughly half as much as the material used in earlier versions, while remaining responsive enough to carry runners through a full marathon distance. The ENERGYRIM system adds carbon reinforcement to manage stiffness and stability, and allows adidas to stack more foam without adding weight. The brand reports a 30% weight reduction over the previous model, 11% more forefoot energy return, and a 1.6% improvement in running economy. A men's size 9 checks in at 97 grams with 39mm of heel cushioning and 36mm in the forefoot, for a 3mm drop.
