Nigo is a pillar in the world of fashion, he left his mark on the industry by creating the legendary brand BAPE in the 90s. In recent years Nigo went on to create Human Made and now spends his free time as the creative director of KENZO.
In the past Levi's worked with Nigo's Human Made on a Denim Jacket and Jeans, now Levi's is requesting Nigo's services to drop a capsule collection with only his name attached to it and not his brand. Levis took to Instagram to tease the collab with a short video, unfortunately, we didn’t receive a sneak peek of the items in the collection.
Update 04/03/2023 - The collection will feature matching hickory striped denim in the form of a trucker jacket and 501 jeans. The jacket utilizes selvedge denim and comes pre-shrunk to give it a vintage feel. Nigo has repeatedly voiced his love for Levi's denim and even owns an archive of vintage Levi's denim. The 501's feature the same materials and include vintage details like the Levi's Red Tab, signature button shanks, two-horse pull back patches, and stitched arcuate around the back pockets.
The NIGO x Levis collection is expected to drop on April 6th, 2023 on the Levi's website and at select Levi's retailers. No word on retail, but we'll make sure to keep you updated as information arises.
