Update (11/4/23): The Kith x MSG x New Balance 990v6 will be release on November 6th via raffle on the Kith App and in-store at all New York Kith Flagship locations.
When Kith top-man Ronnie Fieg was appointed the Creative Director for the New York Knicks, most thought he'd only have a hand in the team's attire and merch. None of us could have predicted that he'd have an impact on the Knicks' home turf, Madison Square Garden (MSG). MSG is a cathedral of sport. It's the place where Joe Frazier took down Muhammad Ali in the "Fight Of The Century," the place where Mark Messier hoisted the Stanley Cup for the NY Rangers in '94, and the place where Michael Jordan put the NBA on notice when he ended his retirement and dropped a "Double Nickel" on the NY Knicks.
Moreover, it's the place where a young Ronnie Fieg used to go to watch games and concerts as a young man in NYC. Now, the time has come for Fieg and Kith to pay homage to the New York landmark in the form of the Kith x Madison Square Garden x New Balance 990v6. The 990v6 has been a hot commodity recently, having just released a collaboration with Carhart and Action Bronson.
The two-pack release will feature pairs draped in the uniform colors of the NY Knicks and Rangers as both teams play their home games at The Garden. The Knicks pair is the "Home" side, showing off neutral tones on the upper with orange logos and blue piping around the ankle and heel. On the flip side, the Rangers "Away" pair uses a black upper with blue and red highlights.
The Ronnie Fieg & Madison Square Garden for New Balance collection will be available globally on Monday, November 6th at 11AM ET at select Kith shops, Kith.com, and on the Kith mobile app. The exclusive drawing for the Ronnie Fieg & Madison Square Garden for New Balance MADE in USA 990v6 opens today on the Kith App and closes Monday, November 6th.
