Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP), is Carhartt's streetwear division of their clothing label. With its popularity continuing to rise, we've seen Carhartt WIP collaborate with many popular brands in the last few years including Converse, Nike, Sacai, and more. They will now be teaming up with New Balance, to showcase a brand new 990v6 colorway, "Sculpture Center". This release has been stated to draw inspiration from neighborhood gyms, making a strong push for no-shortcut mentality and hard work.
The Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6 "Sculpture Center" features a mix of premium materials and colors, creating a perfect Fall/Winter sneaker. The base mesh layer will come in gray, with brown leather overlays. The mudguards will feature a lighter, more orange-toned brown in suede, with "990" branded underneath the ankle. The rest of the upper features a variety of other dark-toned hues throughout, continuing Carhartt's classic workwear aesthetic. The rubber midsole will be made up of three sections, in gray/blue, tan, and white, and a brown rubber outsole to finish the look.
The Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6 "Sculpture Center" is set to release in October via New Balance and other select New Balance retailers for a currently undisclosed retail price.
