The JJJJound x New Balance 740N "Stoneware" Releases August 2026

JJJJound is returning to New Balance's early-2000s runner catalog with the 740N, applying the Montreal studio's familiar restrained sensibility to a silhouette that hasn't seen much collaborative attention. The result is a colorway called "Stoneware," a name that fits the earthy, low-key palette the studio has made its calling card across previous New Balance projects.

Light beige mesh forms the base of the upper, with brown synthetic overlays wrapping the toe box, eyestays, side panels, and heel. Charcoal "N" logos and a dark collar lining provide contrast against the lighter foundation, while cream laces keep the tone consistent. Small red and navy accents appear on the lace loops, tongue labels, and heel cushioning, adding just enough detail to break the monotony without pulling focus.

The 740N retains its original underfoot setup, featuring ABZORB cushioning beneath a sculpted off-white midsole and a segmented black rubber outsole. JJJJound's branding is limited to the insoles, keeping the rest of the build close to the standard New Balance construction.
