The JJJJound x New Balance 740N "Mushroom" Releases July 2026
Quick Summary
- JJJJound rebuilt the New Balance 740 into the revised 740N with no-sew construction, differentiating it from the 2024 reissue.
- The "Mushroom" colorway features Beige, Taupe, and Off-White with Navy eyelets and small Red accents for contrast.
- The pair releases July 30th, 2026 via JJJJound; retail pricing has not yet been announced.
JJJJound went beyond a simple colorway swap with its latest New Balance project. The Montreal studio rebuilt the 740 into a revised model called the 740N, replacing the standard open mesh and synthetic leather overlays with a lightweight no-sew construction that reads smoother and slightly more technical than the original. The familiar 2000s-era silhouette stays intact, but the result sits clearly apart from the 740 New Balance reissued in 2024.
The "Mushroom" colorway continues a palette direction JJJJound has leaned on across earlier New Balance collaborations, including the 990v4 and 993. Beige, taupe, and off-white cover most of the upper, keeping the overall look understated and cohesive. Navy appears around the eyelets and tongue, while small red accents land on the tongue and heel, adding just enough contrast to break up the earthy base without pulling focus.
The JJJJound x New Balance 740N "Mushroom" is set to release on July 30th, 2026 via JJJJound. Retail pricing has not yet been announced. To stay informed on all things New Balance and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
