From the backroads of North Carolina to the Windy City of Chicago, and now the couch in your living room. The origin story of the Air Jordan 1 and how Nike convinced Michael Jordan to join a young upstart company is now available to stream courtesy of Amazon Prime.
The feature film is the brainchild of Hollywood’s dynamic duo of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. In the movie, Affleck plays Nike boss Phil Night who desperately wanted to bring the brand's fledgling basketball division up to par and Damon plays Sonny Vaccaro the marketing genius tasked with making it happen. AIR tells the tale of how Vaccaro pursued Jordan and convinced him to choose Nike over more established basketball brands like Adidas and Converse. Though MJ doesn’t actually make an appearance in the flick his presence is certainly felt throughout.
The movie was released in theaters in March and many were surprised to see it pop up on Amazon Prime Video just a few days ago. The movie is included with your Prime Video subscription and can be streamed or downloaded at no additional cost.
