Update (4/05/23): Official images of the upcoming Run the Jewels x Nike SB Dunk Low have surfaced.
Nike SB is no stranger to musical collaborations, collaborating with the likes of Dinosaur Jr. and the late MF Doom in the past. Now Nike plans to add to its resume by collaborating with legendary rap duo Run the Jewels in 2023.
A leak of the collaboration has surfaced featuring a University Blue upper in a leather textile, with the overlays coming in a Marina Blue nubuck. A bright-pink Nike Swoosh gives the shoe some flavor and offsets the blue tones presented throughout the sneaker. Run the Jewels' infamous stick-up logo is stitched on the heel tab and on the insole along with a mash-up of El-P’s and his wife’s legal names "Jaimily", 2010 is also featured signifying their anniversary. Killer Mike's birthday can be found on the other insole 4/20/75. The pair is finished off with a translucent outsole, and Run the Jewels branding in a Marina Blue.
The Run the Jewels x Nike SB Dunk Low is scheduled to drop on April 20th, 2023 as an ode to Killer Mike's birthday. The sneaker is expected to release at select Nike SB skate shops and the Nike SNKRS app. Check out the leaked image below.
