Kith founder Ronnie Fieg and ASICS first collaborated on their first pair of sneakers in the late 1990s, and it's hard to imagine that either of them could have imagined they'd still be dance partners almost 30 years later. Over the years, the two have designed countless shoes together, including their most recent collection, the Gel Kayano 14 and the Gel-1130. With ASICS now putting a full-court press on the revival of the GT-2160 as a lifestyle shoe they’ve called on their old friend to help build momentum.
The ASICS GT-2160 is not an actual Kith design, it is a Kith exclusive. Two colorways of the older model running shoe have emerged, both based on white and silver tones. One model sports a yellow accent package, while the other opts for a hunter-green. The soles of both models stay relatively calm with some simple placements of the respective colors. As mentioned, these pairs are a Kith exclusive and not a collaboration. As such, they are void of any Kith branding and only carry the ASICS flag.
The Kith-exclusive ASICS GT-2160 will be pretty hard to come by if you don't live near one of Kith's retail outlets across the globe. There may be a Kith online release at some point, so keep in touch with our Twitter and Instagram for updates.
