The Bode x Nike Astro Grabber Collaboration Releases May 2024
Around a year ago, we saw rumors of an upcoming Bode x Nike collaboration. Now, this collaboration has been finally confirmed by the New York City label, with on-feet pictures seen via their Instagram.
The Nike Astrograbber is a historic football shoe that first appeared in the 1970s and has never been re-released until now. The Astro Grabber was worn by NFL Hall of Famer Dan Fouts and was known for its innovative design tailored for football performance. This collaboration between Bode and Nike brings a contemporary update to this classic football shoe, blending premium materials with a vintage aesthetic that reflects Bode's signature handmade quality. The upper features a crochet-like design, paying homage to the original design, arriving in a Cream hue. Black accents can be found on the Nike Swoosh, as well as the "bode" branding on the tongue to compliment the design nicely. Finishing off the look, it appears that the rubber sole will also arrive in a matching Cream hue, keeping the look consistent to the design.
The Bode x Nike Astrograbber is scheduled to release May 1st, 2024 via the Nike SNKRS app after seeing an initial release on BODE on April 18th, 2024. for a retail price of $160.
