After YE and Adidas parted ways, many were left wondering what would happen to the Adidas YZY line. After Adidas released a statement, they made it clear that their intentions were to continue releasing the shoes without the YZY name. Adidas claims to own all the rights to the designs and can do what they see fit with them.
Adidas will be releasing the first of the models in a Granite colorway. The grey primeknit upper is used throughout the shoes base, with the SPLY-350 being printed on a black stripe. The shoe will make environmentalists jump with joy as the materials are made of at least 50% recycled material. The pair is finished off with a grey midsole and outsole, that comes packed with BOOST technology.
The Adidas Boost 350 V2 Granite is expected to releases early next year through the Adidas Confirmed App, and select Adidas retailers. The retail price may surprise many, as the shoe will now retail for $230 instead of $220. Adidas will likely chalk this up to rising cost in materials and supply chain issues, but this could leave many fans furious. Questions like "how could they remove the YZY name and add $10?" could be the topic of discussion when the release date grows near.
