Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has made huge strides in both his NBA career, as well as being a core member in his local community. On top of being given Anthony Edwards Day by the City of Atlanta, Edwards has also officially launched his first signature shoe with adidas Hoops. The adidas AE 1 features a futuristic look featuring large ventilation along the sides, and bright looks, many have claimed this lineup to be an evolution of Kobe Bryant's work with adidas in the past. Currently, the adidas AE 1 is expected to release sometime in December, releasing in 3 colorways, a "Black/White", "Red", and "Black/Orange". Take a closer look at the sneakers below.
The adidas AE 1 takes on a different approach to the regular basketball shoe. Featuring a neoprene inner bootie, and a mix of mesh/rubber on the upper. A key characteristic of this sneaker is the side ventilation, which may or may not be overkill. The rear heel features a protruding carbon fiber piece with a colored adidas logo on it. The midsole connects with the upper, and features a rubberized outsole with an arrow designed tread for the best grip on the court.
The adidas AE 1 is expected to release in December via adidas.com and other select adidas retailers for a retail of $120. To stay informed on all things adidas Brand and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
