Nike and Korean artist G-Dragon's fashion label, PEACEMINUSONE are joining forces for Nike's latest sneaker collaboration. The pair dubbed the KWONDO 1 Panda, is a new age take designed by the K-Pop star that is meant to mimic both a dress shoe and sneaker.
The pair features a bold black-and-white color scheme inspired by the giant panda of China. The shoe is crafted from premium leather materials, with a sleek white base and a contrasting black midsole. An embroidered flower motif with a missing petal and yellow center is used for detailing on the heel. The shoe's overall design is a nod to G-Dragon's unique fashion sensibilities, which blend streetwear with high fashion and have made him one of the most influential figures in the Korean fashion scene.
Although the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 has no official release date, we anticipate the pair to release sometime in 2023. The pair will retail for $180 and release on Nike.com and select Nike retailers. Make sure to keep an eye on the PEACEMINUSONE website for a possible release as well.
