The Nike KD 6 "Texas" Returns November 2026

The Nike KD 6 "Texas" is returning in November 2026, reviving one of the most recognizable colorways in Kevin Durant's Nike history. The retro comes on the heels of a partnership between Durant and Nike with the University of Texas, which established a Team KD NIL program honoring his college roots. The original colorway first hit shelves on October 10th, 2013, and quickly became a fan favorite within the KD 6 lineup.

Designed by Leo Chang, the KD 6 was built around a lightweight construction intended to keep players quick on their feet. The upper features a dual-layer thin Hyperfuse build threaded with Flywire cables for a secure lockdown fit. Cushioning is handled by Zoom Air in the forefoot and Max Air in the heel, giving the shoe a responsive feel across the court. The hexagonal outsole pattern rounds out the performance package, offering multidirectional traction for quick cuts.

On the "Texas" colorway, orange Hyperfuse covers the throat and medial side of the upper, while black takes over on the toe box and lateral panels. Green Glow speckles are scattered across the entire shoe, and the Swooshes, midsole speckling, and portions of the outsole are treated with glow-in-the-dark material, adding an extra layer of detail that made this colorway stand out from the rest of the KD 6 lineup.
