Kevin Durant, also known as KD, The Slim Reaper, and many other aliases has been a driving force in the NBA since he was drafter by the Seattle Sonics in 2007. Durant didn’t get his first signature shoe till his sophomore season, but since then has had 15 iterations of the shoe come to life.
In 2010 Nike and KD came together to bring us the Nike KD Christmas, a monochromatic sneaker that turned heads on the court. Now 13 years later Nike and KD are re-releasing the iconic sneaker to the public. The base of the sneaker sports a Vibrant Yellow upper with a matching midsole. The Nike Swoosh comes in a Photo Blue matching the KD branding on the tongue and heel. The pair is finished off with a translucent gum sole, and Team Orange accents throughout.
No word on an official release date for the Nike KD 3 Christmas, but judging by the name we can expect a release on or around Christmas time. The pair will reportedly retail for $130, and be available on Nike.com and select Nike Basketball retailers.
