Now that Nike is going full scale with the reintroduction of the 1985 College Colors pack in alternate materials it's only a matter of time before we see all 8 of the OG schools have their time to shine. With UNLV and Syracuse already making the spotlight, the Swoosh decided it was the University of Iowa’s time to dance.
Also known as the Goldenrod or Wu-Tang colorway, the Iowa dunk was last seen in a 2021 low top. Now the black and yellow shoes are primed for a comeback in the high-top model and will have a cloak of satin layered over the base leather. All the shoes in the College Colors pack will use the same color blocking with the school's primary color (yellow in this case) featured on the tip, eye stays, heel, swoosh, sock liner, and outsole. The secondary (black for Iowa) is used to balance the tow box, medial panel, and tongue.
The Nike Dunk High Satin Goldenrod/Iowa is currently earmarked for a release in Fall 2023 but no firm date has been given yet. The kicks will run $125 and will be available through Nike and other select retailers nationwide.
