In 1982, a man by the name of Bruce Kilgore designed a sneaker that was originally created as a high-top basketball shoe. It was the first of its kind to feature the Nike Air technology, and it quickly gained popularity beyond the basketball court. Now, it's one of the most popular sneakers in existence and has been released in an endless array of colorways, as well as undergone countless design changes.
This iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 comes in a low-top model, the pair is inspired by the art of traditional basket weaving. The shoe harbors a Sail-colored leather upper with intricate woven detailing that can be seen on the side panels, heels, and tongues. The woven tongue comes in a canvas-like material, while the Swooshes and heel tabs are made from premium suede. Premium leather tongue labels and green accents on the upper eyelets and heel trim give the pair a pop of color. NAI-KE branding can be seen on the heels and insoles, with the design finished off with a White midsole and Gum rubber outsole. As a special touch, the shoe comes with a special edition hangtag.
Although the Nike Air Force 1 Low NAI-KE has yet to be given an official release date, we expect the pair to release in 2023. The pair will release on Nike.com and at select Nike retailers in Asia, retail price remains a mystery.
