Nike Pays Homage To The Great Jackie Robinson With An Air Force 1
Jackie Robinson revolutionized the game of baseball both on and off the field. Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play in the MLB breaking the color line. Now in 2023 Nike looks to celebrate the legend with a special edition Air Force 1.
Coming in a two-tone leather base with the bottom layer being the original leather seen on the OG Nike Air Force 1 while the mudguard to the eyestay's feature a premium white tumbled leather. A Dodger Blue Nike Swoosh extends to the heel matching the pairs tongue that features the Brooklyn Dodgers logo. "Change the world" is printed on the laces and features a lace dubrae with the year 1956. Other details include the number 42 featured on the heel, and a paint splattered gum bottom completes the pair.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Jackie Robinson is expected to drop around the 76th anniversary of the sports color barrier being broken.
