The Harrington Family, known for their philanthropy and community outreach, has announced a new charity raffle initiative called Sneakers for Scholarships. This exciting program will feature limited edition Jordan sneakers signed by the renowned designer Tinker Hatfield, with all proceeds benefiting the Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship program.
The raffle's centerpiece is a unique, 275-pair limited edition Air Jordan 14 Oregon Ducks PE. The top football team from the University of Oregon received this special pair of shoes as a present for the 2022 Alamo Bowl. The sneaker has charcoal gray suede panels and school-spirited accents, such as the Ducks logo on the badges that resemble Ferraris and the word "Oregon" written out on the tongues. The right shoe's collars bear Hatfield's autograph, which gives them a unique personal touch. This extremely collectible shoe is valued at $4,500 USD and is a size 10. The second pair of shoes up for grabs is an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG that features the HFF's distinguishing white and green color scheme. The tongues of this shoe feature the HFF logo and scaly swooshes. The price of this size 10 sneaker is $4,500 USD.
There will be 5,000 raffle entries available for sale, each costing $25 USD. From March 5, 2023, at 9 a.m. PDT, until March 19, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. PDT, the drawing will take place. On March 20, 2023, at 11:15 AM PDT, the winning raffle ticket will be drawn. The event will be live-broadcast on KGW-TV Hello Rose City.
The Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship program, which currently provides funding for 16 scholarship students at a cost of $20,000 USD each, will receive 100% of the profits from this charity raffle. For Oregon students, this program offers the chance to seek higher education and realize their aspirations.
