The 1906R Seems To Be The New Balance Golden Child For 2023
It seems like the creative minds at New Balance pick a silhouette to push to the masses. In 2021 they pushed the 2002R, then last year it seemed like the 550 was everywhere. Now it seems like they are rolling out the red carpet for the 1906R in 2023. With a handful of releases already on the streets, including an Aime Leon Dore collab, the 1906R is off and running.
The newest leak from the 1906R family comes to us in the Eclipse colorway. The shoe features a bit of grey scale with silver TPU heel cap giving way to a charcoal mesh upper lined with medium grey trimwork. The Eclipse also uses a cream colored midsole and signature “N” logo to perhaps symbolize the moon itself. Named after the year New Balance was founded, the 1906R shows no signs of slowing down this year.
The shoe is expected to run $160 and have a release date sometime this year. Any release will likely take place via New Balance and select other retailers.
