The Supreme x Nike Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy Releases August 2026

Supreme is going deep into Nike's early-2000s archive for its latest footwear collaboration, reviving a runner that most collectors know loosely as the Air Max 2000. For this release, the shoe carries the official name Nike Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy, a designation that traces back to a genuinely confusing chapter of Nike history. During that era, several Alpha Project runners shared nearly identical Tuned Air setups and horizontal TPU overlays, causing models like the Air Max 2000, Air Max 2001, and Air Ecstasy Plus to blur together in the collector community. Nike appears to be tidying up the naming going forward, with upcoming non-Supreme versions expected to use the Air Max Ecstasy Plus name, while Supreme retains the Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy label for its collaboration.

Supreme's treatment of the silhouette keeps the Y2K runner's original character intact while layering in a few signature touches. The upper features a quilted mesh construction paired with reflective detailing throughout. Oversized "SUPREME" branding is worked directly into the TPU structure wrapping the heel, making the collab identity part of the shoe's architecture rather than a surface-level addition. Underneath, the full-length Air Max cushioning setup mirrors the original tooling that defined the silhouette two decades ago. Three colorways make up the collection. The first arrives in an all-black build. The second pairs white with icy blue accents for a cleaner, cooler look. The third is the loudest of the three, combining red and yellow across the upper with an aged midsole finish that gives the whole package a worn-in quality.

The Supreme x Nike Air Max 2001 Air Ecstasy collection is set to release on August 27th, 2026 at Supreme stores and online for a retail price of $190, with Supreme locations across Asia following on August 29th.
